Monthly ocean-going vessels are set to connect the two continents this year.
According to Interlake Steamship, the Mark W. Barker was “designed to ensure that it will have a low environmental impact to the Great Lakes.”
The fine for pointing a laser at a vessel can reach up to $25,000.
The ports of Duluth and Superior have been officially blessed for this shipping season.
