Chong, who was a strong player of the year candidate, did not receive the honor despite being tied for first in the league with 31 points, second with 15 goals, and tied for fifth with 16 assists. Chong leads the conference with five short-handed points (three goals, two assists) and is tied at the top of NCAA Division III hockey with six game-winning goals. At one point this season, Chong scored at least one goal in eight straight games. He has recorded at least one point in 16 of his last 18 games.

DeGagne, a defenseman, is named to the first team after receiving an honorable mention selection last season. DeGagne anchors a defense that has allowed just 2.08 goals per game and has a conference-best four shutouts.

Goaltender Kleiman was the final Saint to be named to the NCHA first team. In first full season of action, Kleiman is second in the NCHA with a 1.71 goals-against-average, but leads the league with a .941 save percentage. He is also tied for second with a pair of shutouts.

Forwards Jordan Baird and Jeremy Dawes, along with defenseman Austin Brown were honorable mention selections.

Jordan Baird is tied for 13th in the league with 22 assists (eight goals, 14 assists). All three categories are career-highs. At one point during the season, Baird recorded a point in 10 of 11 games.

Jeremy Dawes earns honorable mention accolades as he is sixth the NCHA with 27 points and is third with 14 goals. Dawes has recorded a point in eight of the last nine contests.

Finally, Austin Brown earns honorable mention All-NCHA. Brown is 10th in the conference in scoring among defenseman with three goals and five assists for eight points. Brown has helped the Saints to a league-leading .843 penalty-killing percentage.

The six Saints named are tied for the most in program history. CSS had six players named either to the first team or honorable mention in the 1985-86 season. The Saints had the second-most players selected to the first team this year behind regular season champion St. Norbert College, who had five.
