The University of Wisconsin-Superior women's basketball team made it five wins in a row with a 69-50 victory over the UW-Platteville Pioneers Saturday afternoon at Mertz Mortorelli Gym.
The Yellowjackets led 39-27 at halftime then outscored the Pioneers 30-23 fin the second half to improve to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Hailey Hart led UWS in scoring with 16 points. With 941 career points Hart passes Maggie Dittburner and moves into 10th place on the Yellowjacket all-time scoring list.
Hart also had eight rebounds, giving her 550 in her career, which is six shy of eighth place on the UWS all-time list behind Sheri Domitrivich.
The Yellowjackets also got 15 points from Bri Davis and 14 from Sally Linzmeier. Davis also had a game-high nine rebounds and Linzmeier had six steals.
