The season came to an end for the University of Wisconsin-Superior women's hockey team with a 3-0 loss to Adrian College in one semifinal game of the O'Brien's Cup frozen four at Hunt Arena in River Falls.
Adrian goalie Emily Michelin finished with 24 saves for the Bulldogs and Brooke Zaleski and Olivia Rork each dished out two assists.
Jessica Grubbs scored on a power play with 4 seconds to play in the first period and Ashley Gniewek and Stacey Kempson added third-period goals for Adrian (18-7-3), which advances to today's championship against undefeated host UW-River Falls.
UWRF advanced with a 5-2 win over Concordia-Wis., in the first semifinal game.
Amy Torgerson made 26 saves for the Yellowjackets, who finished the season 13-8-7.
