The St. Scholastica women's soccer team had no trouble in its 2009 season opener defeating UW-Superior 9-0 Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field.
The Saints are now 2-0-3 in their last five season openers and have won their last 14 regular season matches. CSS improves to 8-0 against the Yellowjackets all-time.
Erin Olejnicak earned the win for the Saints as she had to make just one save to earn her seventh career shutout. Arianna Livingston had the loss for the Yellowjackets, who were outshot 35-1 by the Saints.
