The University of Wisconsin-Superior men's hockey team defeated UW-River Falls 3-2 Saturday night at Hunt Arena in River Falls after skating to a 1-1 overtime tie Friday.
Pat Dalbec, Brad Phenow and Andy Singerhouse scored for Superior on Saturday.
Dalbec's power-play goal came with one second remaining in the second period. Jeff Forsythe and Joey Massingham assisted on Dalbec's seventh goal of the season.
Zach Schrotenboer and Jake Callega scored for the Falcons (4-4-2, 0-4-2).

Kevin Clark's goal at 8:14 of the third period was Superior's lone goal in Friday's stalemate.
After a scoreless first period, UWS trailed 1-0 when Willie Hess scored at 4:38 of the second period on a power play. Clark's equalizer started with assists from Dalbec and Joey Massingham.
The Yellowjackets outshot the Falcons 5-1 in overtime (35-27 overall) but couldn't slip the puck past River Falls goalie Scott Lewan, who made 34 saves. Drew Strandberg stopped 26 shots for UWS.
For his effort Strandberg was named the WIAC Athlete of the Week in men's hockey.
Strandberg turned aside a season-high 26 shots in Friday night's 1-1 tie, then picked up his sixth win of the season with 19 saves in a 3-2 victory.
Strandberg posted a 1.45 goals against average with a .938 save percentage, stopping 45-of-48 shots faced in the two games. For the year Strandberg is third in the NCHA in goals against average (2.35) and is tied for second in wins.
The three points helped the Yellowjackets jump into second place in the NCHA, two points behind first-place UW-Eau Claire. They sit atop the standings in the WIAC.
UWS (8-2-1, 5-2-1) hosts Augsburg on Friday and plays at Gustavus Adolphus Saturday. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.

Teddy Bear Toss
UWS will hold a Teddy Bear Toss during Friday's game. Fans are asked to bring a new Teddy Bear, or stuffed animal, to Friday's game and throw it on the ice after the first UWS goal. All toys will be donated for distribution to children in need.
