The Northwestern High School wrestling team enjoyed a record day at Saturday's WIAA Division 2 Regional, which took place in the NHS gym in Maple.
The Tigers had 12-of-13 wrestlers score points, which helped then win the team title with a school record 226.5 points.
"Wow, what a team effort," NHS coach Bob Coleman said. "To have that many guys score points and then 10 of them place in the top three, is outstanding.
"I can't point out just one or two guys that had a great tournament. Every one of our guys had a great tournament. This is the most points we have ever scored in a regional and the most guys we have ever had qualify for the sectional tournament."
Winning their weight classes were Nate Nelson (130 pounds), Ryan Miesbauer (215), Wes Snow (140), Josh Zinmer (189) and William Pedersen (152).

Nelson (35-2) won his second regional championship and will make his third trip to the sectional tournament.
Snow (35-4) won his first regional title and qualified for his first sectional tournament.
Pederson (31-7) won his first regional title and his second trip to sectionals.
Zinmer (26-6), who has been hampered by a wrist injury the past four weeks, hurt his elbow in the finals but went on to win his first regional title and his first trip to the sectional tournament.
Miesbauer broke the 100-career win mark on his way to his second regional title and trip to the sectional tournament.
Bob Tahtinen (145) finished second; Jack Sundvick (135), Max Biser (125), Isaiah Smith (160) and Jacob Miniot (285) all finished third; Justin Chillman (112) was fourth; and Jake Levine (171) was sixth.
Tahtinen (28-8) gutted out an overtime win over Levi Stephens of Barron, who beat him last week, to qualify for his third sectional tournament.
After losing his first regional match last season, Moniot (18-17) Jake made it to Saturday's finals. Unfortunately, he lost in the finals and then in the wrestle back.

"Jake has really worked hard to improve that much," Coleman said. "His record today is 18-17. That's a long way from only one win last year."
The Tigers will compete at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the WIAA team sectional dual in Amery.
Nelson, Miesbauer, Snow, Zinmer, Pedersen and Tahtinen will then compete in the individual sectional tournament Saturday in Somerset. The top three finishers at sectionals will move on to state Feb. 25-27 at the Kohl Center in Madison.
