Winter Funfest
On Sunday, the Friends of Pattison and Amnicon Falls State Parks are sponsoring the 16th Annual Winter Funfest at Pattison State Park.
There will be free admission to the park from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. A number of family activities will be offered, including a craft activity, sledding, prizes, ice bowling and horse-drawn wagon rides. Snowshoe lessons will also be available. Some snowshoes are available at the park for those without snowshoes. Visitors may also use the cross-country ski trails or do snowshoeing on their own.
A concession stand will be available. Activities, which are free, will run from 1-3:30 p.m.

Fish and fun day
The Get-er-Done Club of Gordon is hosting "Get-er-Done on the Ice," a day of fishing and fun on Lower Eau Claire Lake at Clearwater Resort. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 3.
There is a $5 entry fee with 100 percent payback (lake access by recreational vehicle only). Prizes will be awarded in both adult and youth categories. Additional prizes will also be awarded, with winners being drawn from raffle ticket sales. Prizes include an ice auger, ice tent, cash and more.

River View Loppet
Cross country ski races for youths and adults in the skate and classic styles will be held March 3 at the Afterhours Ski Trail in Brule. Registration runs from 7:30-8:45 a.m. at the Brule Town Hall, and the race starts at 10 a.m.
The race is sponsored jointly by the Brule Valley Ski Club, the Brule River State Forest and the Brule Lions Club.
The Afterhours trailhead and parking lot are just south of Highway 2 on After Hours Road, the first road west of the Brule River. For more information, call 715-372-5995.
