Tigers second at HON track meet

The Northwestern Tigers finished second in the boys and girls team events at Tuesday's Heart 'O North Conference track and field championships at Spooner High School.

The Northwestern Tigers finished second in the boys and girls team events at Tuesday's Heart 'O North Conference track and field championships at Spooner High School.

Bloomer swept the team titles. The Blackhawk girls had 173.5 points to 148 for Northwestern, while on the boys side Bloomer had 142 points, followed by the Tigers with 122 points.

The Tigers won five individual events. Jaclyn Amy won the discus and shot put, Carolyn Prochaska won the pole vault, Chris Fechtelkotter won the high jump and Ryan Miesbauer won the shot put for the boys.

The Tigers are back in action at Monday's WIAA regional meet in Hayward.
