Barron's run in the third inning was all the Golden Bears needed as they defeated the Northwestern softball team 1-0 Thursday in Barron.

The Tigers outhit the Bears 5-1, but six errors didn't help the NHS cause.

Liz Urbaniak had two hits and Kelcee Janigo, Anna Morgan and Rebecca Sutherland had one hit each for the Tigers.

Lindsay Garay suffered the loss on the mound for the Tigers, allowing just the one hit with 12 strikeouts.

Northwestern is at Hayward at 4:30 p.m. Monday
