The Northwestern High School softball team finished Heart O' North Conference play Tuesday with an 11-1 win over Spooner in five innings.
The Tigers close out the regular season with a pair of non-conference games, hosting Superior at 5 p.m. Thursday and traveling to Chequamegon for a 4:45 p.m. game on May 22.
"We put the bat on the ball on offense and played solid defense," NHS coach Scott Janigo said of Tuesday's win over Spooner.
After a scoreless first inning, Northwestern got on the board with two runs in the second inning and held a 3-1 lead after three innings. By the end of the fourth inning the Tigers had tacked on two more runs, and a five-run fifth inning by Northwestern ended the game early.
The Tigers finished the game with 10 hits. Every player had one hit except for winning pitcher Shelby Schultz, who had two. Tiana Arseneau finished going 1-for-3 with a sac fly and three RBIs.

Schultz threw a one-hitter to earn the pitching win. She struck out six and walked two in five innings of work.
Defensively, Sarah Miller made a key play at short stop in the second inning when she knocked down the ball and threw to third from her knees to get the lead runner and stop a potential rally by Spooner.
On Monday, Northwestern lost a pitching duel with Bloomer, 2-1.
Schultz and Aliex Friend combined to pitch in the losing effort. They struck out 11 while allowing four hits in seven innings. The Blackhawks struck out 14 and allowed just three hits.
Collecting hits for the Tigers were Alie Larson, Friend and Karaline Green.
