The Northwestern High School girls golf team picked up two conference wins Tuesday at Cumberland.
The Tigers' team score of 215 topped Cumberland's 232 and Barron's 236. Northwestern now holds an 11-3 record in Heart O' North Conference play.
"The Tigers handled four water holes, a number of blind tee shot holes and fast greens to earn their wins," said NHS coach Steve High.
Gwen LaPole led the Tigers with a score of 46 to earn meet meadlist honors. Abby Schulz shot a 55, Molly Lattery shot a 56 and Macy Meteraud's 58 rounded out the Tigers' team score. Reggie Semanko's score of 60 was not used.
Kayla Janowicz, playing on the junior varsity team, shot a solid round to card a 54.

On Thursday, the Tigers host the Northwestern Invite at Hidden Greens Golf Course.
Volleyball
The NHS volleyball team won its Heart O' North Conference opener Thursday night with a 3-0 win at Spooner. The Tigers swept the match by scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 27-25.
The Tigers, 1-3 overall, got 21 kills from Aly May, eight digs from Sarah Miller and 18 set assists from Brooke Pearson.
The Tigers host Cumberland at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
