The Northwestern High School girls basketball team closed out the regular season with a win Thursday night, defeating Spooner 50-49.
"It was just a really good game to be at, a lot of fun," said Rich Windt, NHS head coach. Windt was especially pleased with the play of his two seniors, Ally May and Lynsey Anttila. Windt said he could see the extra intensity of the seniors as they played in their final home game of the season.
May led the Tigers in scoring and made the winning shot on an inbounds play with two seconds on the clock. She finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Alyssa Correll added 10 points for the Tigers.
