The Superior High School girls tennis team fell to 1-1 in the Lake Superior Conference with a 5-2 loss to Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex.

Superior’s Jillian Reuille defeated CEC’s Michelle Jokinen 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles; while Mya Sickler and Sydney DeMeyer won by default over Lexi Lorrgard and Kylie McKeon at No. 2 doubles.

The Spartan due lost the first set 6-2 and the second set was tied 3-3 when the match was halted.

Superior is at Ashland at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.
