The Superior 7-8 grade girls are co-hosting a GNBL sponsored basketball tournament Saturday at the Superior Middle School.
There are separate divisions for each grade level and games tip off at 9 a.m. with Superior's seventh-graders going up against Esko.
Superior defeated Esko 32-27 in the Hayward Tournament on Nov. 2. Superior's remaining games are vs. Hermantown, 11:20 a.m.; Hayward, 1:40 p.m.; and Northwestern, 4 p.m.
Action for Superior's eighth-grand girls kicks off at 10:10 a.m. against Duluth East. Superior's remaining games are Northwestern at 12:30; Hermantown at 2:50 p.m.; and Rice Lake (no time was listed).
Superior's eighth-grade team is coming off a 3-1 record and third-place finish in the Siren tournament last Saturday. Madison Massoglia and Gabbie Wallace led Superior with 21 and 20 points, respectively.

Both teams are sponsored by the Superior Basketball Association and play in the Great Northwest Basketball League.
The tournament is also a fundraiser for the girls traveling teams to cover cost of uniforms, entry fees, and equipment.
