Superior’s Matt Krivinchuk has been elevated to a full-time coach with the St. Scholastica Saints football team, replacing Matt Bremer.
Krivinchuk, who has been on the Saints coaching staff since 2010 as a part-time coach, will continue to work with the defensive lineman this season, but will also be the special team’s coordinator.
Bremer left this summer to become the offensive coordinator at his alma mater, Crown College.

Krivinchuk is familiar face to the football scene in the Twin Ports area. He was the offensive coordinator at Superior High School from 2000-09. He was the head coach of the Superior Stampede/Lake Superior Rage of the Northern Elite Football League from 2006-14. He guided the Stampede to the NEFL Elite Bowl I Championship in 2008. He is currently working with the North Shore Grizzlies of the Midwest Premier Football League (MPFL) this summer as the defensive coordinator.
Players report for preseason camp on Aug. 13. The team’s first practice will be on Aug. 14. St. Scholastica opens its 2016 season at No. 9 Saint John’s University on Saturday, Sept. 3. It will mark the first time in program history the Saints will face a ranked team during the regular season.
