Dave “Beauty” Bancroft and George Weiss were elected to Baseball Hall of Fame. After retiring from baseball, Bancroft worked as a warehouse supervisor for Interprovincial Pipeline Company (Enbridge). He retired in 1956 and eventually died on Oct. 9, 1972 in Superior at the age of 81. (1971)
