Sports Echoes - Feb. 26

The Superior High School girls basketball team crushed the Rice Lake Warriors 79-45 in a WIAA regional tournament semifinal game. Liz Petroske scored 24 points, collected 11 rebounds and had four steals to lead the Spartans. Denise Groth scored 16 points and had eight rebounds and Stephanie Podgorak added 10 points, 10 assists and five rebounds to the Spartan cause. (1983)
