Spartan tennis team blanks Denfeld

The Superior High School girls tennis team swept Duluth Denfeld 7-0 Tuesday afternoon at the Superior Middle School courts.

The Spartans, who also defeated Denfeld 6-1 last week, are now 3-0 in the Lake Superior Conference.

Maddy Myer, Mystic Raddatz, Creede McClellan and Emma Ferrando all won singles matches, while Allie and Hannah Thul, Desiree Jensen and Maddy Graham and Angel Raddatz and Aili Eibon were victorious in doubles action.

All matches were won in straight sets, including Angel Raddatz and Eibon, who won at No. 3 doubles 6-0, 6-0.

The Spartans are at Hermantown at 4 p.m. Thursday.
