The Superior High School girls hockey team picked up a pair of home wins last week - 7-4 over Eveleth-Gilbert Thursday night and 4-3 in overtime over Northland Pines Saturday afternoon.
Both games were played at the Superior Ice Arena.
Rose Ion’s unassisted goal 1:35 into OT was the difference in Saturday’s win over Northland Pines.
The Spartans also got goals from Alee Milinkovich-Gray, Sam Young and Emma Peterson and 21 saves from Autumn Siers as they improved to 7-8 on the season.
Peterson gave the Spartans a 3-2 lead 4:26 into the third period, but the Eagles forced overtime when Amanda Sergent scored with three seconds remaining.

Young also scored three goals and dished out an assist to lead the Spartans past the Golden Bears Thursday night.
All of Young’s points came in the first period as the Spartans built a 5-1 lead.
After a scoreless second period, Superior took a 7-1 lead early in the third period on goals by Emma Peterson and Addie Young.
Eveleth-Gilbert scored the next three goals in the final 4:40 of the game.
Peterson also had a big game for the Spartans with two goals and an assist; Brooke Olson scored her first varsity goal; Milinkovich-Gray dished out three assists; and Ion, Taylor Routley and Destiny Holmes had an assist each.
The Spartans host Moose Lake-Willow River at 7 tonight and Eau Claire at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Superior lost at Moose Lake 6-3 on Dec. 6 and at Eau Claire 7-4 Nov. 19.
