Solon Springs scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past the Northwood Evergreren 3-2 in a WIAA Division 5 regional championship game Thursday, May 23, in Solon Springs.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning and the Evergreens took a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth.

"These girls have so much heart. They’ve worked so hard for moments like this and made everyone in our school and community very proud."

Rajala picked up the win, tossing a four hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks. Coons allowed just two hits with eight strikeouts and five walks in a losing effort.

The Eagles' hits were doubles by Muree Ahlberg and Rajala. Lily Nordskog knocked in two of Solon Springs' runs and Morgan Anderson had the other RBI.
