St. Scholastica women’s soccer player Morgan Friday was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Year for a third time Wednesday following the Saints’ regular season and postseason UMAC titles.

Friday, a junior from Duluth, produced another historic season for CSS, with a conference-leading 27 goals while adding eight assists.

Wisconsin-Superior earned the remaining three major awards with goalkeeper Morgan Philliber earning Defensive Player of the Year, teammate Lindrey Schendel receiving the Rookie of the Year nod and Alison DeGroot being named Coach of the Year.

Among UMAC First Team selections were UWS’s Annah Schussman at forward and the Saints’ Hunter Zamzow of Duluth at midfield and Mara Roberts on defense.

Wisconsin-Superior also netted two of the top men’s awards with Scott Wilson being named Defensive Player of the Year and Phillip Eriksen Rookie of the Year.

UMAC First Team selections included UWS’s Blake Perry and Protus Babaya at forward, the Saints’ Keegan Chastey of Duluth and the Yellowjackets’ Miguel Ocampo at midfield and CSS’s Ken Pryde on defense.
