Schultz's takes Superior softball title for second year

Superior Over-35 Softball League concludes season.


The Superior Over-35 Softball League concluded its 2021 season on Aug. 18.

For the second consecutive year, Schultz’s Sports Bar earned the league title for the season with a 10-2 record. Schultz’s only losses were to Jack’s Bar, said League Commissioner Terry Massoglia.

The standings, determined by tiebreaker rules, for the season were:

  • 1st, Schultz’s, 10-2
  • 2nd, Caddy Shack, 6-6
  • 3rd, Keyport, 6-6
  • 4th, Shamrock, 6-6
  • 5th, Jack’s Bar, 5-7
  • 6th, Jimmy’s Saloon, 5-7
  • 7th, Anchor Bar, 4-8

A double elimination tournament was held Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the ballfields on North 58th Street. Schultz’s has the top seed in the tournament.
