Superior junior Haley Zembo struck out 15 and didn’t allow a hit in a 4-0 win in Hermantown Wednesday.
Zembo was a little shaky in the first inning, with a pair of hit batters and a walk, but following a second-inning walk Zembo retired the final 16 Hawks she faced.
Superior’s Indigo Fish was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored and Emma Raye had an RBI and two runs scored.
Hermantown’s Natalie Vitek was strong in the circle, but couldn’t match Zembo’s no-hitter. Vitek allowed six hits over seven innings and struck out eight in the loss.
Eveleth-Gilbert 11, Duluth Denfeld 1
Eveleth-Gilbert’s Anna Westby was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs in a five-inning, 11-1 win over Duluth Denfeld.

The Golden Bears scored four in the first inning and seven in the third to take an 11-0 lead and eventually end the game early.
Alex Flannigan, Taylor Morley and Joey Westby also had two RBIs in the game.
Morley allowed three hits and struck out five in the win for Eveleth-Gilbert.
Gina Udd went 1-for-2 and scored the lone run for the Hunters.
Cloquet 16, Duluth East 0
Cloquet’s Roena Diver hit a home run and collected five RBIs in a four-inning, 16-0 win over Duluth East.
The Lumberjacks’ Allie Jones didn’t allow a hit and struck out five in the win. What’s more, Jones was 2-for-3 with three RBIs at the plate.
BOYS TENNIS
Duluth East 6, Bemidji 1
Duluth East’s Dane Patten didn’t lose a game in the No. 1 singles match in the Greyhounds’ 6-1 win over Bemidji.
Ryan Delaney, Thomas Gunderson and Ewen Moe all won in straight sets for East in singles matches.

The only blemish on the score sheet for the Greyhounds was a 6-0, 6-3 win by Bemidj’s Seth Lindgren and Reed Johnson over Tanner Bombardieri and Andre Good.
