HERMANTOWN — Maple Grove completed a head-turning weekend offensive rampage through the Northland on Saturday, dumping Hermantown 6-3 on Saturday at Hermantown Hockey Arena a day after hanging eight goals on Grand Rapids at the IRA Civic Center.

Joshua Giuliani, who scored twice for the Crimson against Rapids, had booked a hat trick by the 4:27 mark of the second period. His third goal made it 4-2 Maple Grove.

Zam Plante scored twice and assisted on the other goal, but Hermantown's 11-game win streak was snapped. The Hawks (17-2) lost on home ice for the first time since Feb. 1, 2018 (Cloquet-Esko-Carlton), a span of 50 games.
