"We have a ton of experience back from last season," coach Dave Kontny said. "We have eight kids that can all score. We are fast and strong at all positions. Defensively we look to be very solid."

What will be the team's biggest challenge this season?

"A big target on our backs every night — being able to handle the pressure of expectations — and our schedule is packed with big games and very good teams to play against," Kontny said.

Coach's assessment

"Time will tell how good we can get. Our goal is to get better every day and stay healthy all season," Kontny said. "We have size, strength, speed and scoring at all positions. Most of all, our starters all have years of experience and our team plays well together."

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
