Prep report: Smith helps Lumberjacks tame Tigers in Heart O' North showdown

Raemalee Smith scored 22 points to lift Ladysmith to a high school girls basketball victory over Northwestern in their Heart O’ North Conference early-season showdown Thursday, Dec. 2, in Maple.

Allison Clark and Holly Rands added 12 points apiece for the Lumberjacks (5-1 overall, 2-0 HON).

Tieryn Plasch scored 17 points and Gabby Risley added 10 for the Tigers (1-1, 1-1), who continue HON action at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Cumberland.
