Sophomore Emma Raye went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs as Superior powered past Ashland 19-7 in five innings Tuesday, May 25, in high school softball.
Indigo Fish added three doubles, three runs and three RBIs and Chesie McLaughlin had a pair of doubles and RBIs for the Spartans (15-1) while Abigail Davidson had a pair of RBIs for the Oredockers (5-6).

NSS wins Lakeland-East title
Freshman Abe Ahlberg tossed a five-inning two-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks to lead Northwood/Solon Springs to an 11-0 victory over Flambeau Tuesday, May 25, in Solon Springs, capturing the first Lakeland-East Conference championship for the program.
Ben Monson was 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI and fellow senior Collin Krmpotich was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
“Another solid all-around game,” coach Nate Ahlberg said. “Abe threw well, allowing only four baserunners in five innings. Our 3 seniors went a combined 7-for-10, scoring four runs and driving in four. Our defense had another errorless game. All that added up to a quick ballgame tonight.”
Northwood/Solon Springs (12-3 overall, 10-0 Lakeland-East), ranked 10th in Wisconsin Division 4, is off until Tuesday, June 1, when it plays at Cornell/Lake Holcombe.
