Prep girls swimming: Superior swims past CEC

Kaelyn DeRoche won the 100-yard butterfly and 100 breaststroke and was a part of the winning 200 medley relay as Superior edged Cloquet-Esko-Carlton 98-88 in a Lake Superior Conference girls swimming meet Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Superior High School.

DeRoche was timed in 1 minute, 6.64 seconds in the 100 butterfly and 1:19.02 in the 100 breaststroke.

Superior's Kylie Peterson was on the winning medley relay and swam to first in the 200 individual medley (2:36.40) and 100 freestyle (1:01.52).

CEC's Megan Chopskie captured the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke, as well as swimming legs on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
