Prep football: Superior's Kennelly named to 2022 WFCA Hall of Fame

Kennelly is one of three assistant coaches to be recognized.

Rick Kennelly, an assistant coach for the Superior High School football team, was named to the 2022 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the association announced Tuesday, Aug. 3 .

Kennelly is one of three assistant coaches to be recognized. The others include Terry Schaeuble of Wrightstown and Scott Wotruba of Cambria-Friesland.

Kennelly will be formally inducted at the WFCA Hall of Fame Banquet in April 2022.

The Spartan Football Twitter account congratulated Kennelly Tuesday, tweeting “Your contributions to the Spartan football program for 40+ years have been amazing! We love and appreciate you more than words can express!”
