Jase Nelson scored 24 points to lead Northwestern to a 75-61 Heart O’ North Conference victory over Ladysmith in high school boys basketball Friday, Jan. 29, in Maple.
C.J. Thompson added 15 points for the Tigers (12-6 overall, 10-2 HON), who jumped to a 39-28 lead in the first half.
Brady Ingersoll had 25 points to lead Ladysmith (7-8, 6-7).

Hurley 57, Superior 54
Superior was unable to withstand a furious rally from the visiting Northstars Friday.
The Spartans led by 16 early in the second half and 49-41 with 4:27 to play, but Matt DiGiorgio's basket with 1:41 to play put Hurley up as it won for the 14th time in 15 games this season.
Eli Talsma led the comeback, scoring 18 of his 23 points after the break.

For Superior, Draden Jensen was the only scorer in double figures with 17, including a game-best four triples.
