Green Bay Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga sustained a left knee injury in the second quarter and did not return to Thursday night's NFL season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

Bulaga was hurt on a 3-yard run by Packers running back Eddie Lacy. After remaining on the turf for several minutes, Bulaga limped to the sideline and later left for the locker room. He was replaced by backup Derek Sherrod.

Packers tight end Richard Rodgers injured his neck during the same play, but he returned to action.

Bulaga missed all of the 2013 season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament during a preseason scrimmage, and he had his 2012 season cut short due to a hip injury.

The Packers' offensive line came into the opener already missing injured starting center JC Tretter. Rookie Corey Linsley took Tretter's place.

Early in the third quarter, Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane sustained a groin injury. He was not expected to return.
