We are part of The Trust Project.

The Western Lake Superior Trollers Association, a group of big lake fishing enthusiasts, is hosting its annual Vets on The Lake event July 24, at Barker’s Island Marina in Superior.

The event allows any U.S. military veteran to spend a day fishing, with a cookout back on land in the afternoon. Vets must pre-register to reserve a spot and show up at 6:30 a.m. Boats are scheduled to leave the dock by 7 a.m.

Space is limited. To reserve a spot, Wisconsin veterans can call the Douglas County Veterans Service Office at 715-395-1466. Minnesota veterans should call MAC-V at 218-722-8763.
