Friday's weather is shaping up to be quite pleasant. Winds will be light, the sky will be filled with sunshine, and temperatures will be approaching our seasonal averages. Looks like a really nice evening to arrive at the lake or just be outside on the patio.
We had a few cooler mornings this last week, but Saturday morning's temperatures won't be as chilly. It will be mild Saturday morning and will make for a great start to the day.
Futurecast paints a nice picture for our weather on the first day of the weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny with lighter winds out of the south and southwest for most. I'm thinking nearly the entire region will stay dry on Saturday.
The warm air returns to the region on Saturday. After a cooler work week our temperatures will rebound starting Saturday with highs approaching or going above seasonal averages. Expect plenty of sunshine to go along with the warm temperatures. Lakes may feel a little cooler this weekend as this past week was on the chilly side with both daytime highs and morning lows. Surface water temps may have dropped some and with the combination of warm afternoon highs will make the lakes feel a little chillier.
A low pressure system is forecast to swing over the region on Sunday. This will lead to our next chance of precipitation. Watch for scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop in North Dakota, push across the Red River Valley, and then into Minnesota as the day moves forward.

Sunday will still be warmer than what we've had for most of the area this last week. Highs will make it into the 80s again with some 90s for South Dakota and into west central Minnesota. The chances of thunderstorms will mainly impact North Dakota and the northern two-thirds of Minnesota Sunday.
