The 2016 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Charity Football Games at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh ended with two victories for the North and one for the South Saturday.
The North’s first victory came in the 8-Man game. The North team led 20-6 at halftime and went on to win 48-14.
Northwood Evergreens quarterback Matt Benson threw the second touchdown of the game for the North at 8:40 in the second quarter. He connected with Luck’s Noah Mortel on the 6-yard pass to give the North a 14-0 lead.
Benson finished the game completing 3-of-3 passes for 19 yards and one touchdown. He also connected on a pair of two-point conversion passes, one to Birchwood’s Tyler Marcinske in the third quarter and the other to Mortel in the fourth quarter. Benson led the Lakeland 8-Man Conference in yards passing and touchdown passes in his senior year.
Christopher Pouliot, of Luck, led the North on the ground, finishing with 204 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Quinn Larson, of Prairie Farm, added 107 yards rushing.

The players representing the North also prevailed in the Small Schools game, winning 28-24.
The North built a 28-6 lead in the first half before going quiet the second. The South scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter but failed on all three two-point conversion attempts.
Amherst’s Tyler Biadasz was 4-for-4 on extra-point kicks for the North team.
In the Large Schools game, the North took a 7-0 lead to start the second quarter, but the South took control the rest of the way to win 17-7.
Local players who participated in the WFCA All-Star Football Games were Northwood’s Benson, Lucas Conner and Ryan Hill; Northwestern’s Tim Schulz and Nate Pearson; Hayward’s Noah LeBlanc; and Superior’s Beau Girard.
