NHS baseball team sweeps Ladysmith

The Northwestern Tigers baseball team swept Ladysmith Saturday in Iron River by scores of 12-10 and 12-5.

David Bethards picked up the win in the opener for the Tigers, who were led at the plate by Carter Spangenberg’s 3-for-4 performance.

Sam Martinson was the winning pitcher in game two.

Spangenberg added three more hits, Micah Goetsch added two doubles and a single and Blake Reijo doubled and singled.

Northwestern is scheduled to host Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. today.
