The Northwestern Tigers finished third and the Superior High School Spartans fifth at the Dock Savage boys track meet Saturday at Hibbing.
Duluth Denfeld won the boys team title with 99 points. Hermantown was second with 92 points, the Tigers had 84 points and Superior had 77.
The girls track teams from Northwestern and Superior were also in action at the Mullins Kohloff Meet at Nashwauk.
Hermantown won the girls' team title with 165. Superior was second with 111 points and Northwestern was third at 102.
Northwestern won four events in the boys meet, including Travis Sznaider in the 3,200 and Mike Naumann in the 300 hurdles. The Tigers also won the 400 and 800 relays and Ryan Lind finished second in the 800 and 1,600.

Winning for Superior was Carter Anderson in the 110 hurdles.
In the girls meet, Northwestern's Tess Nelson was a double winner, finishing first in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Holly Logan also won the pole vault by clearing 9-feet, 6 inches, one foot higher than Superior's Carissa Welch's vault of 8-6.
Superior's Leah Holmes won the 1,600 and the Spartans finished first in the 1,600 relay.
Also for the Spartan girls, Lauren Magnuson finished second in the 100 and 200.
The Tigers and Spartans are back in action at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Rice Lake Invitational.
