The Superior High School girls basketball team got off to a good start, but it wasn’t enough as the Marshfield Tigers rallied for a 53-44 win over the Spartans Saturday in Marshfield.
Superior led 14-9 after one quarter and 24-21 at the half before Marshfield outscored the Spartans 17-9 in the third quarter and 15-11 in the fourth to improve to 6-1 on the season.
The loss drops the Spartans to 3-3.

Alyssa Correll led Superior with 17 points. Ellie Leadstrom added eight points; Mally O’Brien had seven points; MaryLynne Leadstrom added six.
The Spartans host Eau Claire Memorial at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
