The Northwestern Tigers fell Thursday, Sept. 17 to the Ladysmith Lumberjills at Northwestern High School in Maple.
It was a different look inside the gym with everyone inside wearing masks, including the players on the floor. Players on the bench were spread out in chairs. The first two rows of bleachers were taped off in case a player tried to make a save in the crowd. Teams also stayed on one side the whole match, they didn’t switch sides after each game.
Brynn Hessel paced the Tigers with six kills. Allison Luoma hustled for 14 digs; Kayla Paulsen had 13 digs; and Brynn Erickson collected seven digs. Brinley Tonn had 17 set assists for the Tigers.
The Tigers next match is Tuesday, Sept. 22, at St. Croix Falls.
