Superior High School senior Jessica Lindstrom mingled with some of the best athletes in Wisconsin recently at the 2013 Wisconsin Sports Awards.
The event, which took place Thursday at the Kern Center in Milwaukee, included appearances by Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, Mike McCarthy and Bo Ryan.
Lindstrom was among three girls nominated for Girls High School Basketball Player of the Year. Winning the award was Arike Ogunbowale of Diving Savior Holy Angels High School.

Mitch Lindstrom, Jessica’s father, said the high school senior spent about an hour and a half with other nominees in the reception area before the awards ceremony.
“Jess and her sister, Lindsey, got their pictures taken with Packer running back Eddie Lacy and Badger basketball players Frank Kaminski and Sam Dekker,” said Mitch Lindstrom. “The girls attempted to get a picture with Rodgers after the program, but he was in a hurry to get out of there so they didn’t.”
Mitch Lindstrom said it was a first-class banquet and a memorable experience.
