In the celebration on the court immediately after Kentucky’s 74-73 win over Wisconsin on Saturday night in the Final Four, Wildcats forward Alex Poythress appeared to injure a leg when teammates stormed the floor and jumped into a pile.
Poythress shouted in pain for his excited teammates to get off of him soon after the Badgers’ last-second shot missed and sent Kentucky into the national championship game on Monday night against Connecticut.
The 6-foot-8 sophomore later said the leg "just got caught on the bottom of a dog pile" and that he would be fine. However, Poythress was seen icing the knee.

Poythress finished with eight points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats (29-10), providing a valuable inside contribution with center Will Cauley-Stein unable to play because of an ankle injury.
