The Duluth Huskies extended their winning streak to four games Wednesday night with a 5-3 win over over Thunder Bay in a Northwoods League game before 1,037 at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Tony Monroy tripled in two runs in the eighth inning to break a tie game and give the Huskies a tw-game sweep of the Border Cats (5-9).

The Huskies trailed 3-0 heading to the sixth inning when Chris Gilbody singled and advanced to third base on Kyle Jacobsen's double. Both runners scored when Monroy singled with two outs and the Border Cats' third baseman made an error.

The same particulars keyed the eighth inning rally. Gilbody walked, Jacobsen was hit by a pitch, Harrison Moore singled in Gilbody, and then Monroy connected on a 2-1 pitch from reliever John Sakowski.

Reliever Callan Johnson recorded the win and Kieran Shaw the save for the Huskies (10-4), who sit in second place in the North Division and return home to host the Bismarck Larks at 6:35 p.m. today and Friday.
