The La Crosse Loggers completed a two-game sweep of the Duluth Huskies with an 8-3 win Wednesday night before a Wade Stadium crowd of 1,499.
La Crosse also defeated Duluth 11-10 in 10 innings on Tuesday.
The Loggers got to Duluth starter Andrew Stout early by scoring four runs in the top of the first inning.
La Crosse made it 5-0 in the fifth and added three runs in the eighth inning.
The Huskies’ first run came in the fifth inning when Michael McCann scored on General McArthur’s ground out.

Nick Sogard’s two-run single cut the Loggers’ lead to 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh.
McCann finished with three of the Huskies’ nine hits.
The Huskies, who played at St. Cloud Thursday night, host the same team at 6:35 p.m. today.

The Huskies had 14 hits, but it wasn’t enough as they lost to the Loggers Tuesday night before a Wade Stadium crowd of 1,202.

In a game that included six lead changes, the Huskies were outhit 16-14 and couldn’t take advantage of five Logger errors.
After La Crosse scored once in the first inning, Duluth took its first lead with a five-run third inning, which included an RBI single by Chris Gilbody.
The Loggers scored twice in the fourth inning and four more times in the fifth for a 7-5 lead.
Duluth answered again with a four-run seventh inning, which included a two-run fielder’s choice by Sogard.
Trailing 10-9, the Huskies tied it up in the bottom of the ninth inning when Gilbody drew a bases-loaded walk to score Sam Baier, who started the rally with a one-out single.
The Loggers won the game in the 10th inning when Harrison Freed’s one-out single plated Nick Lewis for an unearned run.
Baier finished with three hits, walked once and scored three runs. Augie Isaacson added two hits, two walks and a stolen base.

The Huskies improved to 6-0 this season against the St. Cloud Rox with their win before a crowd of 1,135 Monday night at Wade Stadium.
McCann finished with three of Duluth’s 13 hits, while Augie Isaacson, John Lagattuta, Julian Escobedo and Gilbody all finished with two hits. Escobedo and Lagattuta each drove in a pair of runs.
Starting pitcher Parker Hanson allowed two runs in 6 2/3 innings and struck out four as he earned his first win of the season. Kieran Shaw tossed 2 1/3 shutout innings for his second save.
The game was the fourth this season in which the Duluth pitching staff did not issue a walk.
