The Wisconsin-Superior men’s hockey team is picked to finish fourth in the WIAC according to the preseason poll conducted by conference coaches and sports information directors released Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire is picked to win the conference and returns a pair of all-conference players in Jon Richards and Charles Weiand.

UWS, which went 7-3 overall and 5-3 in WIAC play, claimed the regular-season title a season ago by winning the Commissioner’s Cup. It was the Yellowjackets’ eighth overall championship, but first since 2011 and was their first Commissioner’s Cup crown.

UWS returns All-WIAC performers in senior forward Chad Lopez, senior defenseman Artur Terchiyev and newcomer of the year Dylan Johnson, a sophomore forward from Cloquet.
