Arika Trentor scored the game-winner on the power play at 8:43 in the third period to lead Superior to its first victory of the season, 2-1 win over North Shore in high school girls hockey Thursday, Feb. 11, in Silver Bay.

After Autumn Cooper opened the scoring for Superior at 7:21 in the second period, North Shore answered eight minutes later on Livia Hoff’s power-play goal.

That set up the heroics for Trentor, who scored on assists from Jillian Reuille and Cooper.

Presley Beron made 21 saves for Superior (1-13) while Megan Larson had 26 saves for North Shore (4-3).
