College women's hockey: Lake Forest topples UWS

Marissa Weber scored goals two minutes apart midway through the third period Saturday afternoon as Lake Forest stopped No. 7-ranked Wisconsin-Superior 4-3 in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association women's game in Lake Forest, Ill.

Lake Forest (3-2-4 overall, 2-1-4 NCHA) led 1-0 and 2-1 before Weber provided a 4-1 lead. Kelsey Firkus and Chelsey Wierschrem (on a power play with an extra attacker) scored in the final seven minutes for UWS (8-4, 5-3). Megan Leikkari was in goal for the Yellowjackets. Lake Forest led 37-25 in shots on goal.
