College men's hockey: Yellowjackets fall to Falcons


Wisconsin-Superior lost to Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Wisconsin-River Falls 5-1 on Friday in River Falls.

The Yellowjackets fell behind 4-0 in the first period and were unable to mount a comeback against the Falcons' defense.

Michael Rey scored the only UWS goal off assists from Cody Hotchkin and Jeff Forsythe. Dayn Belfour made six saves and Drew Strandberg made 14 in relief for the Yellowjackets (4-6 overall, 0-1 WIAC).

Willie Hess scored two goals and goalie Tanner Milliron stopped 28 shots for Wisconsin-River Falls (6-1-1, 2-0-0).
