The Tigers won the first set, but Ladysmith rallied to win the next three win HON action Thursday, Sept. 19, in Ladysmith.

The Tigers, who won the first set 25-22, were led by Brynn Erickson, 13 kills and 21 digs; Allison Luoma, seven kills; and Tayva Plasch, 27 set assists.

Ladysmith won the next three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-17.

“It was a tale of two teams for both teams tonight,” NHS coach Charlie Hessel said. “We played a great first set, and Ladysmith was very solid in the last three. They had a lot of big hits and seemed to get stronger as the night went on.

“We lacked communication at times, but still showed a lot of hustle. Unfortunately, Kadysmith ultimately outplayed us.

The Tigers (5-14 overall, 1-1 HON) play at Superior at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24.
