The committee appointed to find a new operator for the Nemadji Golf Course narrowed the field of three proposals to seek negotiations with KemperSports.
Now it's up to the City Council to decide how to proceed.
The Council will meet in closed session Tuesday, May 21 to discuss the proposals before voting on whether to authorize city staff to negotiate with the selected company.
The task force has been working since February to seek proposals for a new operator after Mark Carlson of Nemadji Golf Course Inc. announced this year would be his final year of running the city-owned golf course.
Carlson has run the Nemadji Golf County since 1976, when the city hired him as a manager. In 2004, the city changed from a manager to a management agreement and Carlson has held that lease ever since.
