The boys golf team at Northwestern High School had a busy week, which ended with a first-place finish in the 18-team Bloomer Invitational on Friday, April 26.

The Tigers also won a dual meet at Spooner on Tuesday, April 23, won the Barron Invite on Wednesday, April 24, and defeated Barron and Cumberland at Cumberland on Thursday, April 25.

Kordell Swanson was third at the Barron Invite with a 76. Brett Botten was fourth with a 77.

The Tigers won the Bloomer Invite with a score of 312. St. Croix Central finished second at 339.

Trevor Priem took medalist honors with a 74. Also for the Tigers, Botten and Spencer Anttila tied for third with 79s, and Swanson was fourth at 80.

The Tigers (157) who also defeated Barron (197) and Cumberland (204) Monday, Monday, April 29, at Barron, go to Ladysmith Tuesday, April 30, host Spooner on Wednesday, May 1, and play in the Scott Miller Invite in Hayward on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.

Priem shot a 1-over-par 37 on Monday, followed closely by Swanson's 38. Botten shot a 40, Anttila a 42 and Trent Meyer a 43.
